pieces is my writer’s journal.
A little bit about me
Hi. My name is Leila. I’m a writer and performer from London (and a Drama & Creative Writing graduate).
My process is usually writing in my personal notebooks. I might wake up and write down my dreams. I journal whenever I feel like it. I take a small notebook with me wherever I go, and write what I see, think and feel. I record voice notes. All these pieces form the seed ideas for everything that I write, and I’ll be sharing many of them with you.
When you will receive pieces.
When I first started this back in 2022, I promised to publish every last Friday of the month… I soon found I could not keep that up - other work got in the way, as well as family commitments. So now I publish when I’m ready to, weather that be once a month or more. But for now, I am aiming for once a month on a Friday.
As I mentioned in my welcome letter, pieces will remain free for the foreseeable future.
